Good evening,

We are pleased to announce that we have been able to secure another contract this afternoon for an additional driver so we are able to add another route. 

This will be a modified  version of Route C and Route E for students going to and from Miller Creek, Vallecito and Mary Silveira.

Bus passes can be purchased at the District Office at 380 Nova Albion Way from Monday, Aug. 7 through Friday, Aug. 11 and Monday, August 14 through Friday, August 18 from 10:00am-12:00pm in the Business Office. 

Printed copies of the route schedules will be available on Monday in the Business Office.

We appreciate the support and patience of so many in our community as we adjust for these circumstances. It really does take us all working together. 

MESSAGE FROM TRANSPORTATION: 2023-24 Limited Bus Service

Good morning,

Unfortunately, we are writing to share some disappointing news. We have not been able to hire additional school bus drivers for the 2023-24 school year. It is a process that requires both 20 hours of classroom safety training and 20 hours of behind-the-wheel instruction and both a written and driving test administered by the California Highway Patrol. Due to staffing shortages of licensed drivers, we have been able to secure outside contracts to meet our route needs.  

At this time, the district must plan for a very limited route structure and schedule which prioritizes bus service for the students who live on routes furthest from their schools and those who need transportation in order to access their Special Education services. 

We plan to operate Bus Route D  from the east side of the 101 freeway to Miller Creek Middle School and Mary E Silveira School. We hope to be able to add additional bus service as we are able to secure more driver contracts.

We are disappointed to only be able to offer limited service and for the inconvenience this causes our students and families. We recognize that this change is likely to cause increased traffic and congestion around the schools and recommend walking and biking when safe to do so and carpooling whenever possible.

We accept credit cards (Visa, MasterCard, Discover and debit cards), checks or cash for payment. Credit Card transactions will be accepted when registering and purchasing online at the District Office.
All Bus Passes are non-refundable. Pro-rated refunds will only be allowed for long term illnesses or Mid-Year out of District.
