Our School

Welcome to Vallecito Elementary School, a 2023 California Distinguished School. Serving approximately 420 students in grades TK through 5, the school is located in the Terra Linda section of San Rafael and is one of three elementary schools in the Miller Creek School District. Vallecito has an excellent and committed teaching and support staff and a strong community base of parents and volunteers.

We provide an engaging and challenging instructional program that is differentiated to meet the needs of all students. We integrate social-emotional learning into the day with a focus on caring for the whole child. The school offers enrichment programs, taught by specialists in art, music, performing arts, team-building, mindfulness, and PE as funded through the Can Do! Foundation, a parent-driven fundraising organization.
